Inspired by Hope

As the Democratic Race heats up, I am more convinced that Barack Obama is the right choice for me and for my country. Today he gave an inspiring speech regarding the current political hot topic: race and discrimination in the United States. And after reading his words and listening to the presentation, I was deeply moved by his ability to reach out across racial lines and clearly distinguish how each one of us is personally affected by this, no matter the color we happen to be on the outside. Obama has such a keen focus on the bigger picture and due to his upbringing and personal ethnic makeup can see it from both the "white side" and the "black side". This is the person we need to help begin unifying this nation so our future generations may not have to be part of a "side" but instead be part of the whole.

This video below is a brilliant version of the "Yes, We Can" song by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, based on another amazing Obama speech. This version is preformed a cappella by a group of students from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon:
