Everyone Can’t Be in Your Front Row

I found this through a friend and it is so very true.

I only wish I knew who originally wrote it so I could give credit where credit is due.

Everyone Can’t Be in Your Front Row

Life is a theater - invite your audience carefully. Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in our lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not-going-anywhere relationships/friendships/fellowships!

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to:

  • Which ones lift and which ones lean?
  • Which ones encourage and which ones discourage?
  • Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill?
  • When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse?
  • Which ones always have drama or don't really understand, know and appreciate you and the gift that lies within you?

The more you seek quality, the more you seek things honorable. The more you seek growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you, the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

You cannot change the people around you... but you can change the people you are around. Pray for wisdom and discernment and choose wisely the people who sit in the front row of your life.

Inspired by Hope

As the Democratic Race heats up, I am more convinced that Barack Obama is the right choice for me and for my country. Today he gave an inspiring speech regarding the current political hot topic: race and discrimination in the United States. And after reading his words and listening to the presentation, I was deeply moved by his ability to reach out across racial lines and clearly distinguish how each one of us is personally affected by this, no matter the color we happen to be on the outside. Obama has such a keen focus on the bigger picture and due to his upbringing and personal ethnic makeup can see it from both the "white side" and the "black side". This is the person we need to help begin unifying this nation so our future generations may not have to be part of a "side" but instead be part of the whole.

This video below is a brilliant version of the "Yes, We Can" song by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, based on another amazing Obama speech. This version is preformed a cappella by a group of students from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon:
